On 3 and 4 December, the BRIDGE project partners gathered in Parma for the final coordination meeting of the project, hosted by SERN.
Over two intensive days, partners from Sweden, Italy, Spain and Latvia worked closely together to finalise the key project outputs, with a specific focus on the student engagement strategies and the Well-being at School toolbox for teachers. The meeting provided an important space to exchange experiences, align on the final methodological steps and prepare for the upcoming dissemination phase.
As part of the programme, partners visited Liceo Marconi, associated partner of the BRIDGE project, which shared concrete insights into its approach to fostering a positive learning environment and strengthening student well-being. This exchange offered valuable inspiration and directly contributed to the refinement of the project’s tools and strategies.
The meeting in Parma marked an important milestone for BRIDGE, successfully concluding the coordination phase of the project. The final results will soon be available for schools, teachers and stakeholders, and dissemination events are planned for February in all partner countries to support local implementation.
From 14 to 16 October, the BRIDGE project partners gathered in Luleå, Sweden, for the coordination meeting and seminar “Well-being at School”, hosted by Luleå Municipality, lead partner of the project.
Over three intensive and inspiring days in northern Sweden, teachers and project partners from Italy, Sweden, Spain and Latvia came together to exchange experiences and reflect on the testing of ten student engagement strategies developed across the four participating countries. The meeting represented a key milestone in the BRIDGE journey, focusing on how these strategies were implemented in schools, their impact on students’ participation and well-being, and the lessons learned throughout the process.
The programme combined plenary sessions, workshops and study visits. Activities started at Sunderbyskolan with a physical activity led by the hosting school, followed by an overview of the BRIDGE project and its development so far. During the workshops, teachers shared concrete examples from their classrooms, discussing benefits, challenges and results of the testing phase in a highly interactive and practice-oriented setting. These exchanges directly contribute to the development of the “Well-being at School” toolbox, which will collect tools and methods to support participation and well-being in educational environments.
The meeting also offered valuable opportunities to explore the local context. Participants visited schools in Luleå and took part in a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Gammelstad, providing a cultural perspective alongside the project work. In addition, the BRIDGE project team met with Fredrik Bruhn, Chair of the Labour Market and Upper Secondary Education Board at Luleå Municipality, who presented the city’s strategy for green transition and skills development and shared key elements of what makes Luleå stand out in terms of education and future-oriented policies.
The coordination meeting in Luleå confirmed the importance of transnational cooperation and peer learning in addressing student engagement and well-being, strengthening collaboration among partners and moving the project forward towards its next concrete outputs.
The Erasmus+ project BRIDGE meeting took place on October 3-4 in Daugavpils, focusing on collaboration, sharing progress, and planning the next steps for the project. Participants also had the opportunity to experience the local educational environment. The main topics of the meeting included developing training for teachers on promoting student well-being in schools in the following months, as well as discussing the results of questionnaires administered to teachers to gather strategies for enhancing student engagement.
From February 13th, until February 15th, the “Well-being at School” seminar was held in Reggio Emilia, hosted by IC Leonardo Da Vinci.
The seminar wrapped up on Thursday, February 14th, with a team of 36 participants, comprising project partners and a large group of teachers from Italy, Sweden, Latvia, and Spain.
Over the course of three fruitful days, participants engaged in deep reflections on the holistic concept of well-being within the school environment, encompassing mental, social, and physical dimensions. The ideas and insights brought forth by our participants will serve as the cornerstone for the development of training course materials in the coming months.
This seminar is part of the BRIDGE project (Building Resilient compulsory schools through an IntegrateD and EmpowerinG approach to wEll-being).

by equipping staff with fresh skills and knowledge to promote well-being within classrooms and throughout the school environment.
by developing strategies to engage students through participatory processes, involving them in the co-design and implementation of interventions.
by developing a “Well-being at School” toolbox that is practical and easy to apply in an educational institution.
We are thrilled to kick off this journey, and it all begins with our first meeting hosted by the University of Granada. Stay tuned for updates, insights, and stories from our Bridge project as we work towards building more resilient and empowered schools.
