The activity began with an introduction for colleagues, explaining how game-inspired methods can increase students’ motivation, engagement, and perseverance. Teachers then answered a series of questions, calculated their results, and plotted their scores in a coordinate system. The plotted points together formed a quadrilateral that visualized each participant’s individual game personality type.
Participants then read descriptions of the different gaming personality types and reflect on their own results. The activity concluded with participants submitting their responses via a Google Form, where the data was automatically compiled. This provided a clear overview of the group’s shared profile and what motivates the group.
The plan is to carry out the same activity with all classes at school.
The activity generated a high level of engagement among teachers, who found it both meaningful and enjoyable.
