This activity consists of a gamified learning situation implemented in Primary Physical Education and focused on the development of muscular strength through active methodologies. The proposal is based on a superhero narrative inspired by The Incredibles, in which students must complete cooperative challenges and missions to recover lost powers and defeat a villain. Through bodyweight exercises, strength circuits, motor challenges and problem-solving tasks, students progressively develop strength in a safe and age-appropriate way. The activity integrates the Points, Badges and Leaderboards (PBL) approach to increase motivation, participation and engagement. Sessions are designed to promote teamwork, inclusion, autonomy and enjoyment, while fostering healthy lifestyle habits and positive attitudes towards physical activity within the official Physical Education curriculum.
The activity was implemented with a group of Primary Education students within regular Physical Education lessons. During the intervention, students showed high levels of motivation, enjoyment and active participation in all sessions. Cooperative challenges and the superhero narrative encouraged teamwork, inclusion and positive social interaction, reducing conflicts associated with competitive situations. The progressive and supervised strength activities were well accepted and allowed students to improve their confidence and engagement without safety issues. From the teacher’s perspective, the programme was feasible to implement using standard school resources and had a positive impact on students’ attitudes towards physical activity, strength training and healthy lifestyle habits.
